Besides the presentation of contemporary art, its programme also includes performances, seminars, book presentations and art consultation services for various collections. The bookshop as an integral part of the gallery concept offers a highly specialised selection in the fields of art, photography, design as well as videos, artists’ books and editions. In 2006, STAMPA was awarded the prize for culture of the City of Basel. This award acknowledges and honours the gallery for its merits in the promotion of contemporary art and for creating a unique place of cultural interaction in Basel.
