Martina Gmür, "Impression", Solo Show STAMPA 2008 Roman Signer, Bar 2007, STAMPA Basel Bookstore Since 1969 STAMPA Gallery in Basel organizes exhibitions of Swiss and international contemporary art. The shows are conceived and realized in close collaboration with the artists. The mediation of contemporary art is a very important point in the gallery’s activities. Besides the exhibitions and representation of the artists the gallery is also engaged in organizing events like performances, seminars, book presentations and also acts as art consultant for different collections. The bookshop integrated as a part of the concept of the gallery is specialized in visual arts, photography, design, video, artist-books and editions. In this combination STAMPA Basel is unique. ------------------------------------------------------------------ STAMPA Gallery has been awarded the culture prize of the city of Basel in 2006. The award aknowledges and honours the Gallery for its merits in the promotion of the contemporary art as well as for creating a unique place for cultural interaction in basel.
