Dorit Margreiter is concerned with the disappearance from public consciousness of modern architecture and its former utopian promise. She combines this with her interest in media images – print media, film, entertainment. In a series of works Margreiter investigates the influence of these images on a society's collective and individual memory, and asks how they create or hinder identification – or indeed how they create reality.
