Jonas Burkhalter’s works are associative interplays of sculptural elements, painting and photography which are often presented as room specific installations.

 

“Most of my works are based on rhythm and function in repetition or sequence. They evolve in topics as nature, space and architecture as well as from interaction with these surroundings, leading to their gradual enhancement. These explorations are undertaken with an empirical approach in which I use the studio as a site for elaboration and further development.” (Jonas Burkhalter)
