Jonas Burkhalter is a Swiss artist whose installational works on show, "Dream" and "Deep Sleep", propose a stage for dreamers and spectators alike.
 
Reflecting on the imaginary and the subconscious, "Deep Sleep" is a fragile mobile of sperm whale sculptures which recalls the animals’ particular up-right manner of sleep. Floating between lightness and heaviness, motion and stillness, Burkhalter's works are a stimulating mise-en-scène of juxtapositions and formal analogies that centres around natural and human habitats from the sea to Manhattan and back.
