The film provides an insight into the work of Swiss artist Sabine Hertig whose artistic medium is the collage. It shows in a striking manner what always remains hidden: the silent, solitary work of an artist in the studio. With the film-maker’s conscious and radical decision to solely focus on the artwork, there are no swift cuts or long discussions, but space for reflection and engagement with the art that emerges before the viewer’s eyes.

Booklet (German/English) with a text by Annamira Jochim.
Zürich: Edition Fink 2007
The Spanish artist Esther Ferrer performed for the first time in 1967, in a concert of the ZAJ group. Since then, she has developed a special minimalism of her own, with a unique blend of conceptual rigor and absurdity. Performance is still Esther Ferrer\\\\\\\'s main focus. She has also exhibited objects, installations and photographs at many international shows.
In her interview with Andrea Saemann and Chris Regn, Esther Ferrer gives glimpses into her way of thinking and the beginnings of her career as an artist.

The performances, installations, films, photos and ideas of the Austrian artist VALIE EXPORT have challanged the gaze and attitudes of the art public for four decades. Her film work and involvement in feminist issues led to her Expanded Cinema actions starting in 1968, today recognized as milestones in cinema and performance history.
In her interview with Andrea Saemann and Chris Regn, VALIE EXPORT provides glimpses into her present work and tells about the beginnings of her work.

DVD, 57 min
Ed. Andrea Saemann and Katrin Grögel.
German spoken, with English subtitles.
Booklet (German/English) with a text by Helge Meyer.
Zürich: Edition Fink 2007
Monika Günther prefers modest means and the power of the present moment. She follows the lead of her intuition, often through encounters and found objects. In her development, the German artist evolved from painting to process work and performance in 1982. Since then, she continues to work without a script for her actions in public, either in solo performances or duos with her long-standing partner Ruedi Schill.
In her interview with Andrea Saemann and Chris Regn, Monika Günther talks about her work and the conditions under which it came into being.

DVD, 49 min
Ed. Andrea Saemann and Katrin Grögel.
English spoken, with German subtitles.
Booklet (German/English) with a text by Katrin Grögel.
Already in the early 1960s, the canvas was too constricting for the American artist Carolee Schneemann. She began to extend painting into space and use her body. At the Judson Church in Manhattan, she created revolutionary performances with many participants that she called Kinetic Theater. With Fuses, she created the first sexually explicit film that militated for the right to a feminine esthetics of desire. Carolee Schneemann continues to maintain a fluctuating line between the private and the political.
